Alvor

Alvor is a beautiful fishing village which developed responsibly, in a relaxing holiday destination and mature. The city is located on the banks of the river Odiaxere and is just a short distance from one of the largest beaches in the South of Portugal.

Alvor remains a traditional fishing town.

Has a distinctive Portuguese appearance with homes painted white, narrow streets and small fishing boats along the river. For tourists the city centre is scattered with a wide choice of restaurants, cafés and bars for all tastes. There is much to see and meet in Alvor is a short bus ride to the Praia da Rocha beach or to the city of Portimão, which also provides various kinds of trade.
